Trust Wallet is a decentralized mobile wallet that provides a non-custodial crypto asset storage, meaning that users hold full control over their cryptocurrencies allowing users to safely send, receive, and store crypto-based tokens.
With Trust wallet, you are essentially your own bank i.e your keys your funds and your 12-word recovery secret phrase is your key to your crypto vault
In this article, we are going to learn to recover your secret phrase and import

After you’ve opened Trust Wallet, you need to go to your settings.
On the bottom navigation bar of the app, you’ll see 3 icons.
This includes “Wallet”, “Discover”, and “Settings”.
3. Select the “Wallets” option
On the page, you’ll see multiple options.
This includes “Wallets”, “Security”, “Push Notifications”, and more.
To find your recovery phrase on Trust Wallet, you need to go to your wallet settings.
Hence, you need to tap on “Wallets” to see your wallets.
4. Tap on the info icon
On the page, you’ll see a list of wallets that you have on Trust Wallet.
Now, you need to tap on the info icon on the wallet that you want to find or get the recovery phrase from.
5. Tap on “Show Secret Phrase”
6. Agree that you understand the risks
After you’ve tapped on “Show Secret Phrase”, a page will open containing important information about your recovery phrase.
Here is the important information:
- The recovery phrase is the master key to your funds. Never share it with anyone else.
- Trust Wallet will never ask you to share your recovery phrase.
- If you lose your recovery phrase, not even Trust Wallet can recover your funds.
Tap on the checkbox to agree that you understand the risks.
Next, tap on “Continue” to continue to see your recovery phrase.
7. Copy your Trust Wallet recovery phrase
After you’ve agreed to the terms and tapped on “Continue”, you’ll land on the “Your Secret Phrase” page.
Now, you’ll be able to see your 12-word recovery phrase on Trust Wallet.
You can either copy the words or write them down in the right order and save them somewhere safe.
Tap on “Copy” to copy your recovery phrase.
Keep in mind that you cannot share your secret phrase.
If someone has your secret phrase, they will have full control of your wallet.
Hence, it’s important to store your recovery phrase somewhere safe and out of reach from others.
